Our comprehensive PPI is a full mechanical, electrical, structural, and diagnostic evaluation:

• Engine condition — oil quality, coolant condition, belt and hose integrity, valve cover and timing cover leaks, motor mount condition, signs of overheating or prior overheating events

• Tires and wheels — tread depth and age on all four tires, wear pattern analysis, wheel condition
• Electrical system and full diagnostic scan — we connect our dealer-level diagnostic equipment to read every module: engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body control, and all manufacturer-specific systems including SCN-coded Mercedes-Benz modules. Cleared codes and incomplete readiness monitors are red flags we specifically look for
• Body and frame — panel gaps, paint thickness variance indicating prior accident repair, evidence of rust in Ontario-specific areas: subframe, rear arches, sill sections, underbody seams
• Interior and features — all power systems, infotainment, climate control, sunroof, heated seats, ADAS features
• Road test — engine performance under load, transmission shift quality, brake feel, steering response, suspension over imperfections, any vibrations or noises
• Maintenance history review — identifying what's been done and what's coming due at current mileage

Not every mechanic is equally equipped to inspect a used BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Audi. The factory-specific fault codes, the manufacturer-specific maintenance requirements, and the failure patterns unique to each platform require genuine familiarity with the vehicles — not generic knowledge applied from outside. Our BMW factory-trained technician, with 10 years of direct experience on BMW platforms, reads a 3 Series or X5 differently than a generalist would. Nim and his team know that a 2011 BMW N63 needs a specific oil consumption check, that a Range Rover L322's air suspension requires a different evaluation than its steel spring counterpart, that an early Audi RS4 rear subframe deserves particular attention on any pre-purchase walk-around.

Step 1 — Schedule and Coordinate

Contact us at (289) 932-4993 to book the inspection. We'll need the seller (dealer or private) to bring the vehicle to our 8,500 sq ft facility at 80 Bullock Drive, or you can arrange to have it driven to us. Most inspections need 1.5–2.5 hours, and we can usually accommodate same-week scheduling.

Step 2 — Diagnostic Scan Before Anything Else

We connect our dealer-level diagnostic tools first — reading all stored codes, pending codes, history codes, and monitoring the status of readiness monitors across every module. We also flag any recently cleared codes, which can indicate a seller has been masking problems. For Mercedes-Benz, we have full SCN coding access, and for BMW we use factory-equivalent diagnostic platforms. This step often reveals the most important findings before we've even opened the hood.

Step 3 — Full Mechanical and Structural Inspection

The vehicle goes on our lift. We inspect the engine bay, underbody, all four corners of the suspension, brake hardware, axle boots, exhaust, fuel lines, coolant and power steering hoses, and all visible electrical connectors. We measure brake pad and rotor thickness on all four wheels. We pay particular attention to rust — Ontario's road salt is particularly destructive on subframe mounting points, rocker panels, and rear suspension components.

Step 4 — Road Test

A trained technician road tests the vehicle under various conditions: cold start, highway speed, hard acceleration, firm braking, low-speed manoeuvring. We document transmission behaviour, brake pedal feel, steering response, and any sounds or vibrations the vehicle produces under real driving conditions.

Step 5 — Detailed Written Report

You receive a full written inspection report covering every system evaluated, with findings categorized by urgency: immediate safety concerns, near-term service requirements, and items to monitor. Where possible, we include cost estimates for any recommended repairs — using our own pricing, not inflated dealer rates.

Step 6 — Direct Consultation

We walk you through the findings directly — or discuss by phone if you're not able to be present. We give you our honest professional opinion on whether the vehicle is worth the asking price, what negotiating points the inspection reveals, and whether there are any findings significant enough to reconsider the purchase.
